THE AUTHORITY OF THE AHAD HADITH IN AQIDAH (The Study of Nashirudin Al-Bani's Thought)

Hadiths are divided into Mutawatir and Ahad. The refers to the Hadith of qot'ul al-wurud or hadith that is believed be true, while Ahad zhon in which its authenticity still questioned as cornerstone Islamic Aqidah (creed). purpose this study find out thoughts Al-Bani on authority basis Aqidah. method used was library research with a content analysis approach. results revealed al-Ahad can employed foundation when it meets requirements Hadith’s authenticity. condition Hadith's sanad (chain narrators) must continually reported by narrators (Rowi), whose agreement upon lie impossible (tsiqoh), who exempt from illah syadz characteristics. has been investigated proven authentic (shahih Hadith) will classified qothil rather than al-wurud. Thus, for narration considered bid'ah because not carried Prophet SAW his companions.
